Chocolate Syrup

1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Mix the cocoa and water in a sauce pan and heat and stir until cocoa is dissolved.

Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved. Boil for 3 minutes and then remove from the burner.  Add salt and vanilla mixing well. Keep refrigerated and it will last for several months. 

Serve over ice cream or mix with milk.
