Baked Parmesan Tomatoes

2 good sized tomatoes, sliced thickly
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
chopped fresh basil, to taste
1/4 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil

Preheat oven to 450° F.
Place tomatoes on a baking sheet. Top with Parmesan, basil, salt and pepper. Drizzle with oil and bake until the tomatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
